I was disappointed with the protagonist and her reactions, not so much what she allowed to happen to herself, but what she allowed to happen to others. I found some of the character reactions a bit unreal, and rushed, but others have said that. In the end it didn't, and left me with an unhappy ending, not really sure what the protagonist learned from the experience. I kept hoping that an alternative to Reeve would appear in the story. It is very well written and narrated, with a lot of insight into topics and issues raised. This caused me to stop listening for a bit, get my courage up and then continue again. I was interested in the story, but it was clear it would not end well, from the onset. It covers some dark topics which includes violence, abuse, and volition (in the sense of taking advantage of someone). The story is interesting and captivating. ![]() There are many reviews of this on goodreads, so I wont detail out a full review here. ![]()
